CARTHAGE — Help your child learn about a variety of careers in agriculture with a one-day camp for kids 11-14 years old hosted by Carl Sandburg College’s Corporate & Leisure College.
Ag Career Day is a one-day summer camp devoted to providing students with a look at different careers in agriculture. The event is facilitated by Carthage Veterinary Service, Martin Tractor, Purina Animal Nutrition and Ursa Farmers Coop. The camp takes place from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. July 29 at the Sandburg’s Branch Campus in Carthage, 305 Sandburg Dr., with visits to Carthage Veterinary Service and Martin Tractor.
The camp will cover the various agricultural careers at Carthage Veterinary Service, Martin Tractor, Purina Animal Nutrition and Ursa Farmers Coop.
Cost of the camp is $10 and includes a snack and a sack lunch. Masks will be worn at all times, with the exception of lunches. Availability is limited, so reserve your child’s seat by July 22.
