The Monmouth College women's soccer team had two players named Midwest Conference All-Conference on November 15. Forward Danielle Beach (Geneseo, Illinois) and defender Avery Parks (Bloomington, Illinois) are both repeat selections for conference honors.
Beach was named to the First Team after being on the Second Team last season. She led the Scots with 11 goals which is tied for 15th on the single-season goals list. Beach also led the team with eight assists and 30 points. The assists mark is tied for 7th and she is tied for 12th on the single-season points list. Beach had a pair of hat tricks during the season and also netted two game winning goals.
"Danielle worked hard this season to improve and round out her game," said head coach Lucas Henderson. "That hard work showed throughout the season on the field and now she gets the recognition she deserves."
Parks played in every minute for the third season in a row and this is the third straight Second Team honor for the junior defender. She scored her first goal of her career against Eureka in September and led the team with 1,513 minutes played.
"Avery's an impressive person, leader and athlete," said Henderson. "She deserves this recognition and I'm very proud of both our players. They set an example within our team and the conference."
The Scots finished in fifth place in the MWC standings with a 3-3-2 conference mark and an overall 5-8-4 record.
