BOT Action June 4

It’s a great day to be a Leatherneck at Western Illinois University. The WIU Board of Trustees approved a resolution naming the Center for Performing Arts the Goldfarb Center for Performing Arts (GCPA) in honor of WIU President Emeritus Alvin Goldfarb, who was instrumental in laying the groundwork for the future Center for Performing Arts.

The BOT also approved the interim president contract stating Kristi Mindrup will serve as interim president through June 2025 and approved a preliminary spending plan for fiscal year 2024.

In addition, the Board elected officers for July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. The Board will remain the same with Carin Stutz continuing as chair; Radosh will continue to serve as vice chair; and Cornell will continue to serve as secretary. The complete list of Board members can be found at wiu.edu/bot. Kisha Lang was elected to serve on the State Universities Civil Service Merit Board.

Action items and reports can be found at wiu.edu/bot, and the audio of the full meeting can be found at WIU's YouTube Channel at youtube.com/user/WesternIllinoisU.

The next regularly scheduled meeting will be held Sept 26-27 on the WIU-Quad Cities campus.
