Both Tennis Teams, Seven Individuals Earn ITA Academic Honors

The Monmouth College men's and women's tennis teams both earned national academic honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) on Wednesday. In addition to both teams being named All-Academic Teams with a GPA of at least 3.2, seven student-athletes earned individual honors with a GPA of at least 3.5.

The women's team, coached by Brian Dahlstrom, earned the team honor for the second straight year. Kimber Calvert (Paris, Illinois), Natalie Labicki (Antioch, Illinois), Jennifer Shimmin (Monmouth, Illinois) and Ivana Stefanova (Streamwood, Illinois) all earned the individual honors. Shimmin has earned the honor in two straight years and was also Academic All-District for College Sports Communications.

The men's team, also coached by Brian Dahlstrom, earned the team honor for the first time since 2019-20. Spencer Corn (Kansas City, Missouri), Sawyer Day (Cupertino, California) and Macaden Sepich (Mackinaw, Illinois) earned the individual honors. Corn and Day were also ITA Scholar Athletes in 2022-23 and both were All-District CSC this season.
