Cikauskas Named AFCA First-Team All-American

Monmouth College football added a First-Team All-American to their postseason accolades on Monday as sophomore defensive end Anthony Cikauskas (Oswego, Illinois) earned the honor from the American Football Coaches Association. The Fighting Scots have put a player on the AFCA All-American teams in six straight seasons under coach Braun.

Already named the Midwest Conference Defensive Live MVP, Cikauskas added D3football.com All-Region Second Team last week and AFCA First-Team All-American on Monday.

Cikauskas tied for first among all Division III players with a school record 17 sacks. He averaged 1.55 sacks per game and his 17 sacks accounted for 110 lost yards. He also led the nation with 26 tackles for loss with 2.4 per game, accounting for 140 lost yards. In 11 games, Cikauskas posted 57 total tackles, five QB hurries, five forced fumbles, one recovery, one blocked kick and two pass breakups.

Brown was named D3football.com All-Region for the third year in a row. He's been named a second-team, first-team and now third-team selection for Region V. Brown was named Midwest Conference Offensive Line MVP last month for the second year in a row. Brown was a first-team selection in all four years he played for the Scots (2019, 2021, 2022, 2023) and spent this season playing multiple positions on the offensive line due to injuries.

Under coach Braun, the Scots had Tanner Matlick named second-team AFCA All-American in 2016 while Matt Barnes made the first team in the same season. Micam Smith made the second team in 2017 as did Thomas Lisniewski in 2018. Joe Krall earned first-team honors in 2019 and there was no season in 2020. Korbyn Personett kept the streak going with a first-team selection in 2021 and he was a second-team choice last year.
