Honor Walk

Emily Philbee (founder of Red White Blue 22) and Georgia Bell (founder of Bell's Call of Duty) will be hosting an Honor Walk 4 p.m. on September 11 starting at the Post Office in Downtown Galesburg. Those attending will walk 13 blocks (one block for each of the service members lost on August 26 in Kabul) as Bell leads the way with an American flag from Afghanistan.

Philbee and Bell invite the Galesburg Community to, "come join us on the 11th to show your support for our military and honor the ones who never made it home! This walk is free and for everyone. We encourage you to bring a sign with a message of love and respect to carry with you. No political signs please. Please be kind and respectful to all those attending. Please have a mask available in case social distancing is not possible. Thank you and we hope to see all of you at the Honor Walk."

Check out the military page in the September 16th print edition of The Burg for more details about Philbee and Bell and the Honor Walk.
