IHSA March Madness Preview Show To Air On Statewide Television February 25-26

The IHSA and Weigel Broadcasting Co. are kicking off coverage of the 2023 IHSA Girls and Boys Basketball State Finals, better known as America’s Original March Madness, with the IHSA March Madness Preview Show.


The show will air at different times around the state on Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26.


The special half-hour program is hosted by Matt Rodewald alongside analysts Kenny McReynolds and Patricia Babcock-McGraw and is part of Weigel’s continuing partnership with the IHSA and digital broadcast partner the NFHS Network.


The IHSA March Madness Preview Show will include previews of the remaining girls Super-Sectional games and look ahead at the boys Sectionals.


Weigel will broadcast the IHSA Girls Basketball State Finals Semifinals and State Championship games live from Redbird Arena on the Illinois State University campus in Normal on March 2-4. The Boys Semifinals and State Championships will air live on March 9-11 from the State Farm Center on the University of Illinois campus in Champaign-Urbana. The girls and boys third-place games will be broadcast exclusively on the NFHS Network.
