GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire men's basketball team picked up their first loss of the season, falling to Concordia Chicago 76-68.
The Cougars crept out to an early 12-9 lead, but Knox took a 23-19 lead with 7:32 left to play in the first half. Concordia finished the first half on a 13-5 run to head into halftime with a 32-28 lead.
The Cougars jumped out to a double digit lead early in the second half and Knox was unable to cut the deficit to less than eight the rest of the way.

"Concordia is a good team and a good test for us," said head coach Ben Davis. "We fought the whole way and had moments where we could have gotten back in the game. I am proud of the way we worked today. We have some things to work on, but all in all a lot of very good things to take from this loss."
Knox will return to action on November 15 when they travel to SIU-Edwardsville for an exhibition game.
