On October 5 six Beta Theta Pi Fraternity Alumni, with five being previous Knox College Siwash Football players, attended the Midwest Conference Game to reunite “Ole Siwash” football players to cheer on the Prairie Fire Fox football players; these guys are hometown famous football players. This is the testimony to how much a fraternity and a football team will build bonds and forever families.

The alumni that attended were Jesse Dabson (#98), John Guido (#70) who featured his uniform he wore during his football stent at Knox College, John McGuire (Beta Theta Pi), Mark Hahn (#65) who featured his uniform he wore during his football stent at Knox College, Pete Peterson (#41) who featured his uniform he wore during his football stent at Knox College, and Rob Rosenberg (#69) were in attendance to show that even though the scoreboard reflected a tough loss the gains were in family unities that were bonded over a pig-skin and the brotherhood of Beta life.

Jesse Dabson, an American Actor who starred alongside Michael St. Gerard and Millie Perkins in Elvis (1990) and alongside Susan Griffiths in Marilyn and Me (1991) is now in Real Estate with Key Realty in Rockford, IL.

Dr. John Guido, MD (#70) is a Radiologist who is affiliated with Northwestern Medicine-McHenry, Huntley, Woodstock Hospitals who earned his medical degree from Rush University.

John McGuire achieved his MBA in Accounting and Finance from Quinlan School for Business and was a Senior Vice President at Citibank for over 12 years where he took pride in his ability to make his clients and colleagues partners.

Coach Mark Hahn (#65) was a four-year starter at Knox College where he was Offensive Captain his Junior and Senior Year and All-Midwest Conference Team honors his senior year.  He is a life coach, a leader, a mentor, and focuses on team building throughout today’s youth to collegiate level.

Pete Peterson (#41) was Captain alongside Mark Hahn, in 1980, for the Knox Siwash!  He earned his Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Northern Illinois University of Law and is now the Senior Vice President of Fidelity National Title Group.

Rob Rosenberg (#69) - as the guys loving call him “Rosey” earned his Bachelor of Arts in English and took over his father’s family business where he has devoted 27+ years to being the CEO of Olson Rug & Flooring with over 12 store chains.  He devoted his time to Boys Scouts of America and coached/refereed for youth.

Knox College has a proven record of providing a college education that is second to none and superior to all; amazing young men had the goal in mind to move the football one yard at a time but did more by creating an amazing group of professionals in the depth charts and more amazing – a lifelong friendship.
