MONMOUTH, IL The Monmouth College men's soccer team allowed two goals in the final 15 minutes to lose 2-0 at Coe College on Monday night. The game was scoreless with 20 minutes to play before the Kohawks scored twice in 12 minutes.
Monmouth put five shots on goal in the game with both Kristofer Ruiz-Camarena (El Paso, Texas) and Montgomery Schroeder (Harrisonville, Missouri) having two. Logan Corgan (Geneseo, Illinois) also had a shot on goal while Christopher Zavala (New Lenox, Illinois) made six saves in the contest
MONMOUTH MOMENTS: Ramon Aguilar (St. Louis, Missouri), Tanner Viren (East Moline, Illinois). Corgan and Zavala played all 90 minutes. Corner kicks were 8-3 to the Kohawks. The Scots will play at Upper Iowa on Wednesday. The next home game is Sept. 19 against Principia.
