On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at 6:30 PM CT, Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17) will host a town hall with residents of Illinois’ 17th Congressional District. Constituents will be allowed to participate over the phone, and a recording of the event will be made available afterward.
Sorensen has invited Mayor Jodi Miller of Freeport, Mayor Rita Ali of Peoria, and Mayor Mike Bartels of Coal Valley to announce tax dollars that Sorensen secured for their respective communities to provide clean drinking water, support our veterans, build more housing, repair broken infrastructure, and more.

During the call, Sorensen will speak directly to residents of Central and Northwestern Illinois about the bipartisan work he is doing in Congress to serve his neighbors. In addition, Sorensen will address issues his constituents care about most, including creating sustainable, good-paying jobs, making communities safer and healthier, and lowering costs for families.
The telephone town hall format will allow Congressman Sorensen to be more accessible to his nearly 750,000 constituents spread out over 14 counties and 6,933 square miles.
