GALESBURG, Il -- Three Knox College football players have been selected for the All-Midwest Conference team voted on by the league coaches. Offensive Lineman Creed Justice, Linebacker Ean Rau, and Linebacker Davis Brumbaugh were all selected to the second team.
Justice (Raleigh, IL / Eldorado High School) was a second-team selection at Offensive Line. Justice, a sophomore guard, helped anchor an offensive line that compiled over 2000 yards rushing (2098 total yards), and 26 rushing touchdowns.
Rau (Abbotsford, WI / Abbotsford High School) was a second-team selection at Linebacker. Rau, a senior linebacker, led the Prairie Fire Defense with 68 total tackles including 2.0 tackles for loss. Rau added 2 interceptions which included a 92 yard interception return for a touchdown.
Brumbaugh (Forsyth, IL / Warrensburg Latham) was a second-team selection at Special Teams as a Special Teams Player. Brumbaugh, a junior linebacker, accumulated 36 total tackles on the season, while contributing on every special teams unit for the Prairie Fire. Knox College finished the season with a 3-6 mark under first-year head coach Aaron Willits '08.
