The Monmouth College men's and women's track and field teams had three qualifiers for the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships. Maddie Boley (Beecher, Illinois) will compete in both shot put and weight throw on the women's side. On the men's side, Shane Anderson (Lisle, Illinois) qualified in the weight throw while Caleb Toberman (Clifton, Illinois) qualified for both shot put and weight throw.
Boley qualified seventh in the weight throw with a PR heave of 18.47m at the IC Hilltop Invite on Feb. 21. She qualified 14th in the shot put with a PR throw of 13.70m at the Midwest Conference Championships. Boley won both events at the MWC Championships and was named Field Performer of the Year. Boley competed at the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Championships in the discus.
Anderson broke the Monmouth College record of 19.91m on Saturday with a weight throw of 20.00m at the Wartburg Last Chance Qualifier. He qualified second in the nation in the event and also won the MWC CHampionship with a throw of 19.57m. Anderson qualified for nationals last year as well but was injured in the warmups and finished 19th.
Toberman qualified 12th in the weight throw at 19.01m from the Roger Haynes Invitational in February. He also qualified 13th in the shot put with a throw of 16.78m from the IC Hilltop Invite. Both throws were PR's and Toberman was limited at the MWC Championships with an ankle injury. Last year he finished 11th at the Outdoor Championships in the discus and 15th indoors in the weight throw. This will be his third Indoor Championships as Toberman finished 20th at the 2023 event in the weight throw.
The NCAA Division III Indoor Championships will be held at the Golisano Training Center at Nazareth University in Rochester, New York. The men's weight throw is at 9:00 a.m. ET on Friday with the women's weight throw at 2:30 p.m. The men's shot put is at 10:00 a.m. ET on Saturday with the women's shot put at 1:30 p.m.
